Try to understand this. Social Security is a separate, self funded program that isn't adding to the deficit. It has it's own issues but isn't part of the debt. Before Obama came into office there was plenty of debt, but his administration has more than doubled it. The first two years it was a Democrat problem but once the Republicans got control of the House they went along for the most part. Before you start talking about wars Bush started I'm talking about huge waste Obama incurred giving incredible sums to single companies like Solyndra. Bottom line there's plenty of blame to go around and don't kid yourself, we can't continue at this pace. We need whatever it takes to get the economy in gear. With a strong economy we can cover needed programs that help people. Otherwise it's a house of cards that'll crash soon enough. If you don't understand that what more can I say? One things is certain, you are resorting to personal attacks which is the liberal blueprint to marginalize anyone who's not with the program. By the way, my grandfather was a millionaire. But his money was tied up in his home and business. He was a well driller. What cash he had was mostly spent taking care of my grandmother after her stroke. He worked hard for everything he had, so did my dad, and I've tried to do the same. Social Security is INSURANCE, and much needed by millions, including me. My hard work got me little at FedEx, and now I'm experiencing issues with my diabetes, including numb feet and weakening eyes. I won't be able to work too much longer. How you can say I think I'm owed something I'm not, when I've paid into it just like everyone else for the day when it'll be needed, is beyond me.
