Ding dong ditch has made a comeback in recent weeks according to an article in the WSJ.

It is about ringing the doorbell and running away. Adults are now playing the game and some are leaving actual DingDongs as a treat.

We used to do this as kids . It was fun but now people in their 50's are doing it. I wonder when someone will get shot.

We would blindfold someone and walk them around, THEN ding dong ditch. An old friend fell through an open door into someones living room, lol. Put an extra twist on it. We turned out just fine.

Ya , we played outside with no supervision until it was dark. played in the dirt, swamin the lake or streams. jumped our bikes over mounds without helmets on . went to the town park and played ball without uniforms , referees and parents .

can't remember getting into any serious trouble. we usually just played pranks on each other . adults left us alone.

not too many pools in our neghborhood but plenty of hoses and sprinklers. men would be watering new grass and we'd be running thru it and getting yelled out. we'd be laughing like hell.

in our flip flops. remember slip and slides? we didnt have those but would just wet someones grass that had a good slope and use cardboard from a big box.
