Have an interview for a PT Supervisor position Monday, good idea or bad?

I'm looking to get out of my current nightmare of a job, currently a line attendant at a carwash, make about $13-ish an hour depending on tips. Otherwise it's a straight forward job but can be hectic and very busy at times. Other than that, I can basically make my schedule around my school schedule and pretty much have as much time off as I want which is nice. It is also extremely easy to get a day off for whatever reason.

However, I applied at UPS about a month ago, and got a call earlier this week to schedule an interview, which will be Monday. I haven't heard just yet if it is for the preload supervisor spot or OMS(operations management specialist), which are the 2 I applied for. But I have heard nightmares of being a PT Supe there, and might be better off being a PT package handler from one of my buddies that use to be a supervisor there. What is your guys thoughts about a supervisor position? I'm in it for the college reimbursement too.

Are you looking to use this as a resume builder or do you plan on making this your career?

If it is the former, which I have to assume it is, take the PT sup gig. OMS is a PITA.

If it is the latter, take the OMS gig.

If you take the PT sup gig you may be able to keep your car wash gig.

Definitely not a career, just something to get through my last year of college and make a decent amount of pay.

EDIT: I am also upstate NY by the way!

Take the PT sup gig.

Is it as bad as everyone tells me it is though? I know a few people that have worked there before, including my mother who worked there for 15 years, and if it's really as deadbeat as everyone is telling me I might just stay at where I am or possibly go for a package handler position. Where about's in upstate are you, thats exactly where I am applying.

Currently a line attendant at a Car Wash? You're Overqualified to be a PT Sup. They're Pond Scum
Good to know, I'm borderline a supervisor at the car wash though, which they barely do much of anything besides walk around with a towel in their hands, and usually make about $16.50

One more question for if any of you guys know, with the tuition reimbursement, would they cover my last semester(maybe the one before that too) or will they only cover the semesters I am working there?
