Sorry just trying to point out that I thought 9.5 hours was a hot topic I guess I was wrong early in negotiations the union proposal was we all want to work 9.5 hours and then all time after that was being paid at double time but you could opt out and work all the hours you wanted I thought this would be a great deal for all drivers just my opinion

The opt out 9.5 proposal would be a great gain for package drivers.

The company is supposedly claiming that only 20% of drivers have a problem with excessive overtime.

Yeah right.

This is the current content of the 9.5 language....

On the Article 37 (c) tentative agreement,
the drivers will no longer need to wait for
a violation to get on the 9.5 list or go to the
manager to get on the list. The union will
collect the names of drivers who want to
be on the 9.5 list and provide those names
to management in January and June. In
addition, a driver may elect to add or re-
move their names to the list at ANY TIME
during the two five month periods, with
one weeks’notice to UPS.

How is restitution made? If it’s automatic, I’d consider it. If you have to grieve it? I’m a no vote.
