Helping Drivers

I have no problem helping other drivers out. I have been helped many times myself but it seems that management is targeting me. There have been several instances in the past month. One night I get back to the building and they tell me I need to go make an attempt on 10:30 air that was left in the building all day!(it's already 7) and I said why do I have to as there was about 20 other guys standing around. But I did anyways. Then a week or so later I get asked to go cover a pickup that is nowhere near my route. It was an ODS. There are probably 7 drivers that would be near that pickup but they singled me out and made me break way off to get it. Then today I guess someone was over dispatched nowhere near my route. So they send a driver to take my remaining work(mind you this driver is done at 4) and then send me to go help this other guy. So instead of having a nice day being done around 6 i get done at 8. Why didn't they send the guy who was done? I asked and they said that he said he didn't know the area. Which is bull:censored2: bc I get sent to help ppl in the blind all the time and run routes in the blind all the time. I think they are harrassing me bc I'm not top rate and it's cheaper for me to work late. Should I file?

What region are you in? In central if you are back to building they can't make you go back out. As far,as helping if you don't like doing it make sure you take ALL your break before going to help and do a terrible job at it

I can tell you have a good work ethics and a new driver. Management see that as well.Your new to the game and they will pimp you out to the game.
There is some two thing they don't tech you but you must learn. First a career pace. What that in-tells is managing your package car you need to be right at the wire of 9.5. They will still call on you for extra work but you will be must be a snail at extra work. That last package drive down the wrong street a couple times use the even if you know where it is. You have to hit them where it hurts dispatch & payroll. Your rate may be low but they can't have you out more that 14 hours in a day burn them a few times and they will back off. I know that this is not in your nature but if you want off the hit list these are thing all senior driver know and practice.
Good luck and be safe most of all
