Funny thing is, there is a "SMALL" but "GROWING" secessionist movement in America if Berkeley wanted to join. http://middleburyinstitute.org/secessionconvention2006.html http://middleburyinstitute.org/secessionconvention2007.html This latest movement (there have been many before and since the Civil War) has a cross section of libertarian, socialist, christian conservative, native Americans, etc. so the politics run the gammit. Although I respect those folks in Berkeley who hold "TRUE" antiwar feelings, overall however I consider most of these folks 2 face leeches. On the one hand they will protest the presence of the military and point a boney finger of contempt to the foreign escapades of our gov't but then in turn be the first to scream bloody murder when one suggests cutting the beast down to size! Hence Bentz's suggestion for points of protest. I always find it funny how some of these people will scream and protest the "Big Bully" actions of our gov't on foreign soils but then turn around and support those same similar actions on the home front and even declare such actions as if it were the handy work of God himself! Col. Bentz IMO cut to the quick in pointing out that hypocrisy. JMO BTW: I support the various sucessionist movements around the country. We need more of them IMO.
