Why is it that people are always trying to get into capitalist countries, not socialist countries, for a better life?

(#Capitalism) is based on quite brutal assumptions. The very idea there should be a class of people who give orders by virtue of their ownership of wealth, and another class who take orders and follow them because of their lack of access to wealth and power - that's unacceptable.

crony capitalism causes mass immigration to america.

what do you think NAFTA did to mexico? US wars of terror did to central america?

you are your own worst enemy

if central america had worker self determination instead of capitalism, then everyone would not be trying to leave.

Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, unemployment, welfare, section 8 housing, earned income tax credit, food stamps, subsidized health insurance, public education, libraries, museums, parks, roads, postal service, fire, police, public transportation. Oh and who's the largest landowner.... The federal government!

Ya, no wonder everyone's always trying to get into this "capitalist" country. Socialism is evil!

Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid when you're in a nursing home and your money's all gone are designed for people who reached the end of their working lifetimes. Lifetimes that for quite a number were spent making somebody else rich. Now if you never grow old, never out of a job and have accrued enough personal wealth to see you through to the end of your lifetime then you will never need these programs. Unfortunately, the number of people who are in that position are very very few in number and I doubt very much that you're one of them.

What the programs were originally designed for is besides the point. I won't need any of those socialist programs but I'll use a lot of them.
