So if someone doesn't support the Hoffa campaign does that make them a tdu supporter or just a teamsters looking out for the future of the teamsters?

Ken P was initiated into Local 78 in Hayward, California on Nov. 13, 1972.
Ken then transferred to Teamsters Local 70 in Oakland, California on May 22, 1973. Ken P then transferred from Local 70 to Teamster Local 407 on August 20, 1973.

Kenny P has been an International Socialist since 1968, he joined on the UC Berkeley campus. TDU Co-Founder Steve Kindred was also an International Socialist, and President of the SDS (Students For A Democratic Society) radical left extreme group on the University of Chicago campus in 1965. Paff is listed on the "International Socialist" Editorial Board in the Sept. 1969 issue of "International Socialist" with nine others.

7-70 to 9-72 : J & S Moving. 6456 Irwin Court, Oakland CA. Supervisor: Joe Jordan. Position: Driver and Mover.

10-72 to 1/73: Simm's Brothers Gas Station : Ashby and Shattuck, Berkeley, CA. Supervisor: Frank Thompson. Position: Assistant Manager.

2/73 to 3/73: National Truck School, Corte Madera, CA Position: Student Driver

4/73 to 6/73 Various companies (ICX, Haslett, Etc.), Position: Casual Driver . Oakland, CA

7/73 to 9/73 Navajo Freight Lines, Position: Casual Work Only. Supervisor: Joe, City Dispatcher. San Leandro, CA


The above work history is typed word for word from a job application submitted by Ken P in his own handwriting in 1973 to Shippers in Cleveland.

On 9/5/73, Kenny P is hired at Shippers in Cleveland and he works there for a short time, as a Member of Local 407. He then goes on withdrawal from Local 407 and becomes involved full time with TDC, and then forms TDU. He hasn't paid his dues since he went on withdrawal.

TDU would be the Koch Brothers dream. First split the teamsters to get elected, then bankrupt UPS, destroying the Teamsters in the process.

I'm willing to bet there were many people here who never even heard of TDU before it was thrust into every union thread where somebody was discontent.

Could it be this type of disinformation that has enabled TDU to persist into its 5th decade?

Perhaps these guys are a mile wide and an inch deep?

Is it possible that these guys are perpetuating their own "perceived enemy"?
