How Is Vacation Day Pay Out Determined On Retirement?

is it by your seniority date or by 1st of year?

my seniority date was April 1st and I left on may 30th.

so they paid me 4 days vaca pay and change for my years of service. I took all my vaca before leaving for 2015.

Is this right?

I thought you earned vaca from jan. 1st so I thought I was gonna get 5 months earned so at least 10 days?

thanks.

Take your option days becuz they said they wouldn't pay them out if you retire.

Every employee that retired here in the last two years was given poor and inaccurate info on the vacation issue.

We earn vaca, sick and option days beginning Jan 1st. All unused vaca is paid in full. Next years vaca is prorated based on how much you worked in your last year. Unused sick and option are also prorated in your last year.
