How many locals have cover drivers

Yeah I've heard a lot of guys compare the two.


But those guys don't get ft pension accrual and contributions?
maybe FT pension and contribution are the trade off because ups is going to grind these guys hard . Maybe the union ask for that to let them do it across the nation

We have full time cover drivers, they don’t have a bid route, they still make the same thing as a full time driver (full time driver defined as a driver with a bid route) and are still guaranteed 8hrs a day.

Here cover drivers are called split drivers. Essentially drivers that don’t have a bid route. Everything else is the same. Same pay structure. Same guarantee of hours. Only difference is they cover different routes from day to day.
