Hub at Louisville, KY, Reward Offered...

Hi,

Just to say that I appreciate that you're all here off-duty but I would be ever so grateful if anyone could help me with a lost package at the Louisville Hub.

It wouldn't normally matter, but this package contains some irreplaceable prototype computer parts from the 1990s.

If anyone can help (even if it's to keep an eye out in overstock, or to offer some advice) that would be great. As an incentive (but not a bribe) I would be prepared to offer $100 if this was found.

why would you offer a $100 reward to find a package that never should of been lost in the first place?

i understand freight gets lost, it happens.......but you shouldnt pay out of your pocket to find your package

Thanks for all your replies.

I do agree that I shouldn't technically be offering a reward as the parcel shouldn't have got lost - however things happen. Sometime incentivizing people gets results, or makes it worthwhile for them.

However, if it would be against UPS policy for a reward to be taken, then of course I would not pay one - just would be really grateful.

Any offers of help gladly accepted.

James.

Did you try customer "service"?

Nope I've not contact customer services yet.... that would obviously be the first thing to do....

On, no, wait I forgot I already have(!)... - no luck with them so far, especially as they're not directly associated with UPS - just a third party being paid for answering phones on UPS's behalf.

Just a thought, isn`t there pretty tight restrictions on exporting some computer stuff?

Hey,

I think all the export docs were filled in correctly - but you never know. Thanks for the tip - you never know it might be stuck in customs - although I would have thought that it would have shown up on the scans.

Thanks for your advice, though.

It wouldnt have made it this far if it was and there would be a customs hold on it....most computer parts its more of an issue exporting out of the US and these were like antique computer parts correct? shouldnt been much of a problem on those two accountss.

The scans seem strange...maybe not though.
But I would check Louisville.

If youre going by the scans in OAK there should have been a arrival, unload and a depature scan and then another arrival and depature in SC and then one more arrival depature in SDF

looks like this package might have multiple tracking numbers on it. The tracking info makes no sense. Or even an old SPA label can cause this to happen.

Was this a re-used box?

Also for me to have any chance of finding anything in overgoods I need part numbers, manufactures name, serial numbers,....any words or numbers that are on the missing parts.

Was there an invoice or any paper work in the box?
