IBTs Economic Proposals Leaked!

Last Wednesday a few of the IBTs economic proposals submitted to the company were leaked. Package Director Denis T will not be happy this information has been leaked to the members.

-The union asked for a $15 starting wage for all new employees.
-The union asked for $1 yearly raises and catch-up raises for part-timers (amount unknown).
-Pension increases were submitted separately by each supplement.

UPS did not like the economic proposals submitted by the union and argued that such numbers would put them out of business. A counter-offer from the company was expected on Thursday's session, but it never came. Perhaps the news of $1.35 billion in record profits in the first quarter disrupted their "going out of business rhetoric."

Yes Denis will be very disturbed that top secret info (that has been widely discussed for months) has been leaked. Especially the part about pension increases submitted separately by each supplement! The horror!
Keep up the good work super sleuth.

With the show up bonus, UPS is already paying $15 to $20/hr for an off the street new PT employee. UPS is going broke(ha ha) by not paying a living wage.

They are trying to extend that bonus to try and keep new hires who are making more than people here for multiple years. At least that's what they are telling them in desperation. Union needs to step up. There is money in the goody bag but only for non union workers and scabs. Put up or strike and that sentiment is widespread.

The other day I heard a PT sup complaining that the new hire he was training was making more an hour (with the bonus) then he was. How long can that business plan last?

It' never gonna happen but I think they should make some kind of top pay progression for part timers like they have for FT. Just pay everyone in the building the same rate after the there progression PT or FT and just send PT workers home after 4 hrs. I' love to make $29.60 for 4 hrs and leave

Why only ask for $1?

-The union asked for a $15 starting wage for all new employees.
-The union asked for $1 yearly raises and catch-up raises for part-timers (amount unknown).
-Pension increases were submitted separately by each supplement.

Simple solution.......
Starting P.T. Wage....
08/01/2018......$11
08/01/2019......$12
08/01/2020......$13
08/01/2021......$14
08/01/2022......$15
All current P.T. and friend.T employees get $1 p/hr raise per year at the same time as above.
So simple, yet both sides will complicate the S__t out of it.

Sounds like he' saying they'll start at $15 and get $1 raise every year so they should end up making $20 hr by 2022

Yeah $1 should be the min we even consider. Should have asked for $6+ over the life of the contract.
