For the full-time pension they are paying over $500 a week and the health insurance isn't too far behind it

It's a lot of money. Then add in vacations, paid holidays,sick/personal/ option days
It's a big chunk of cash

I started at $8.50 in late 90’s early 2000’s. Just goes to show how slow that start wage has increased through the years

Buddy lives in AZ. Has 4 kids and makes 33k a year. They do alright.
