if you are going to quit>>

you should go out in style.

the shipping guy at one of our district accounts was fired for stealing copper wire. instead of going quietly, he decided to use UPS to make a scene.

he took everything from his desk (including the keyboard, mouse, pens, paperclips - you get the picture) home - along with a stack of early AM airbills and a few oversize boxes.

the guy then one per day, early AM'd his desk contents back to work each item in an oversize box. by the time they got everything, the bill was $2200.

i thought that was a good story. needless to say they want us to waive the bill, but that ain't going to happen - all 14 packages made service.

Sounds like soething I should have done. just kidding.
I'm sure he'll be heading to court soon, and face charges.
People pay for thier stupid revenge acts.
Also. he'll face criminal charges now, for theft (that UPS probably would have just overlooked). And have a criminal record.
He won't be going to Fedex anytime soon, or any job that requires a criminal record check.

But if I win the $35 million net lottery this Wednesday.. I will offer the first 10 drivers that quit $100.000 cash. (from my center). And I might just wait until End November to do so.:dissapointed:

You gotta get fired in Alberta. If you're fired you get two weeks pay out of it! :D

So it took them 14 days to figure out what was going on? The dumb butts should have to pay double.

A few years ago we had a division manager who had been around the block a few times. He was in this meeting in some big hotel conference room, center managers and division managers were getting their butts chewed. They got to him, and he said, I forgot my glasses, I need to go down to my room and get them. He left the meeting, and everyone waited, and waited and waited. When he didn't come back in a little while, someone was dispatched to the desk to request that he be paged up in his room. The desk clerk replied, I'm sorry, I can't do that, he checked out ten minutes ago. He took his retirement.

Much better exit (but less dramatic) than the Div Mgr that had a heart attack and died in one of these type meetings.

I'll still take it at the exchange rate. Yes Klein...I'll quit the day I receive the Certified Check from your bank. Hell, I'll even video tape the occasion for your viewing pleasure. It'll show mw walking into the CMs office singing a reworded version of
