Hi,
I got injured on the job, but was another companies fault. They have accepted responsibility. Anyhow, getting close to a year with a head and neck injury. I have had all kinds of procedures and nothing is helping. I have neck bad pain and headaches, and have to take pain meds and muscle relaxers. I was told by my doctor that after one year I lose my UPS healthcare. I took a functional capacity exam and did not pass. Not sure what to do. I am trying to figure out my future. If I am not able to continue driving, do I have any options? Pretty stressed out out the future, I finally had a route I liked, now this curveball.

Are you full time?

If it was another company's fault, hire an attorney. Chances are you'll never have to work again.

I did hire one, Liberty Mutual suggested that so, they can get their money back. However, I have no idea what the settlement will be. I was assuming it would cover lost wages, medical, and pain and suffering. Lawyers cannot tell me what I can expect, so I am not holding my breath. I do not mind working, but I sure don't want to be having to take muscle relaxers and pain killers to deal with the pain while driving. Not safe for people around me or myself. Curious if there is something else I can do for same pay, although going back to the Hub or an Office sure sends shivers down my spine. Especially with all the office politics etc. Maybe never having to work again would be a good thing if I can't drive on my own.🤷‍♂️

OhShoot

Middle fingers up!!

Me personally would not let liberty mutual put a lien on any monetary gain you'll be getting from that company at fault. Settle with liberty mutual for future medical costs and back pay for highest amount.

They suggested that you hire an attorney because they cannot sue the other party themselves on a workers comp case

I hired an injury lawyer, but I have not hired a workers comp. lawyer. Low on funds as it is, I think they take 25 percent of your check. However, if it comes to losing my health insurance I may have to bite the bullet.
Most injury lawyers will specialize in workers comp cases

I did not know I had a choice. Is it too late since, they have signed on?

I would do the opposite of whatever liberty mutual tells you to do.

Oh man, Liberty Mutual is terrible. They send you the Physical Therapy before you get an MRI, and then took me two months to get an MRI. This seems to be the way they work, same thing happened to someone that recently injured their leg. They are backwards, slow, and not looking out for us. It is hard to find a Good Doctor that deals with workers comp. The crazy thing is both the doctors and Liberty Mutual tell me I can get better care on my Personal Insurance. That is pretty bad!!!

My lawyer sent me to another doctor that wasn't linked with liberty mutual for impairment rating. I had to pay for it but got way more of an impairment rating than liberty mutual wanted to award me...it paid for me to do cause it made my settlement much more
