You have nerve Mr. upstatenyupser (hillbilly) calling me gramps when you are 48!!! For all practical purposes YOU are in the SAME age group! ...

AND, mind you, you must have FLUNKED your reading comprehension classes as well.

You say you've been polite??? When? You have been name calling, rude and making up my details with the first message you posted here.

"You come here asking for help and when the help is not what you want to hear you call us boneheads. The only bonehead you will find is the one looking back at you when you shave in the morning."
Funny, when I said bonehead, you were the 1st to respond and take offense. You must have known who you were. Everyone on this forum has been nice, polite and helpful except YOU!!! And btw...I don't need to shave.

Fast forward 6 months. You come here to Brown Cafe because your knee is screwed up and you want UPS to pay for treatment for an injury that you did not bother reporting or seek medical attention for in a timely manner.
Don't you tell me I didn't follow procedure when I did exactly as I was told to do during my training. How the heck do you know anyways?? Were YOU there??? NO!!!!! I was never asking for special treatment after 1.5 days of employment. I never asked UPS to even pay for this! They didn't even offer to pay for my initial visit. My own insurance picked that up. If you would have read and comprehended my initial post, I was simply looking for someone to call me back regarding my injury so that I could get a C-9 report filled out. I don't care either way who pays for this!!! I have my own private insurance and always did! If UPS isn't going to pay, I don't give a rat's ass I just need my form filled out so that I can seek treatment. Right now no doctor will see me without that form, get it??

I did get it checked out by my doctor the next few days after it happened. He said my injury would heal but would be very, very slow. It had been getting better, but it came to a point when I realized this wasn't, that is when I called a specialist. No specialist will see me because it happened on the job and UPS needs to fill out that form!

If I would have slipped in the shower, I would have gone to a doctor and gotten treatment using my own insurance, hence no forms, no BS, no YOU, get it??

Where do you get off accusing me of wanting entitlement? Your harsh words just give me and all of those reading these posts what a $#!@%#&^%*(&^***&$* you must be... Lashing out at a complete stranger who just came here to get some advice.... tsk tsk

I don't appreciate you trying to second guess what is going on in my life by making up details. Stay away from my posts. I am sure others on here don't appreciate what a jerk you have been!

And don't worry fellow UPSERS, I'm not giving up on UPS and their service just because of this one guy who is employed by them. I had a good time helping out with the delivery of the packages. We had 175 stops day one and 225 stops day two...I only made 1/2 of those. The drivers were very courteous, supportive and greatful for my help. I wished I could of held up longer.

My guess is that that UPS probably has been trying to get rid of Mr. upstatenyupser (hillbilly) for a looooooong time!

Any further rants by this guy just goes to prove his insecurity and lameness. My suggestion to you Mr. upstatenyupser (hillbilly) is anger management classes...and maybe GET A LIFE!

Upstate is sorta like a well-aged Scotch (or bowl of dirt). He's an acquired taste that at first leaves a bitter after-taste but then you begin to appreciate it after a while. :wink2:

Dian one thing you will get when you come here is some honest feedback. Keep in mind that as we read your post that we see this type of scenario quite a bit over the years. Someone hired temporarily that quickly has a workmans comp case trying to get us to pay for some past injury. Not accusing you just telling you what we have seen in the past.

The fact that you have waited six months to file a claim and the fact you are a little bit older and should understand the workmans comp process which is basically the same wherever you work adds to the suspicion.

I'm no doctor and I'm no insurance claims expert. With that in mind from what I have seen you have an athletics related condition and you have led an athelitic life. As such you're condition will probably be deemed normal wear and tear or a pre-existing condition and not be covered.

If you think its worth it to find out then track down one of drivers and get the phone numbers to the center.

If it was me and I had the insurance to cover it then I would get it taken care of. Especially since the condition is related to the lifestyle you have led. Getting an attorney may just end up costing you more but thats your call.

A quick google search turned up some interesting information:

What causes patellar subluxation?
There are dozens of factors implicated in the cause of patellar subluxation. The bottom line is that it is probably the contribution of several factors that lead to instablitiy of the kneecap. Possible factors include:

    • A wider pelvis
    • A shallow groove for the kneecap
    • Abnormalaties in gait
What on earth did the OP do to cause such an injury?
