Inform supervisor, fill out an accident report, if you need immediate medical attention - demand it- if they refuse -tell them you will need a copy of the report you wrote as per the contract. If they still won't get you medical help- see if you can convince them to get your steward to help out-some will and some won't-otherwise leave-file a workman's comp claim yourself-I believe it is 60 days to file-document everything-they do not like to pay workman comp so will deliberately deny you treatment-especially if you are in a large hub- DO NOT let them into talking you into going home to see if you'll feel better-because when you come back they will claim you did it at home - important- Liberty Mutual is the insurer for workmans comp-they are horrible--the company will treat you will little regard for your injury and will bring it up like you were some criminal. Some people get hurt on purpose - but most are working to survive and pay the mortgage, etc. ---Also, had a friend in another union he stated that all workers are treated unfairly and it's unfortunate. Shame on them. If your sup gets you the treatment and not delay you- then count your blessings. You are very, very fortunate. Also, ---for some reason -some people on here cannot follow through with answering the question and go off on a tangent. You'll notice it's the same ones. I personally don't get that. Good luck and document, document, document.
