Interesting Take on History

Saw another video on this and then this video. Scientists studying DNA plus archeologists finding mass graves of brutally killed men and boys in numerous locations suggests in a period lasting several thousand years men were killed in extremely high rates leading to a bottleneck of diversity with a relatively few lineages surviving to produce today's population. This video points out if a similar decimation of men happened today there would only be about 200 million men worldwide. Interesting that women weren't decimated in such a way, leading to conclusion that a lot of the killing included taking the women as a prize. Probably the best example of this much closer in history is the Mongols sweeping across Asia and into Eastern Europe killing whole armies as they went. It's been determined that the genes of Genghis Khan are in one out of every 200 men alive today. We have the benefit of video documentation of the wars brought on by men like Hitler but the evidence is pretty clear that such men determined to come out on top have been behind large groups being killed for millennia.
