I was talking to a newer PT guy who was making $20/hr working the Midnight sort. Took a newly created 22.3 position and dropped him down to $16/hr.
I believe you cannot be dropped below your pt rate unless your worked a pt higher class partially?
Yes but that $20 would have ended on January 15th or whatever date your local hub put on MRA notice and he is on his way to making $35.92 plus four years of raises in 4 years so likely in the $40 range. It also means he is a 22.3 with less than a year on the job and now will be making a pretty good salary within the range of 5 years when most of here wouldn't have even been thinking about getting a full time gig. My hub is paying $26 MRA so it really sucking for the 75 new 22.3 that we hired in the early fall but if they can stick it out they will be light years ahead.
