Joan Lunden "People" Cover Photo

Joan Lunden, a former TV news personality who has lost her hair in her battle with breast cancer, recently decided to pose of a People magazine cover photo without wearing her wig.

I totally support her decision. She is a nationally known individual who spent much of her adult life in front of the cameras. From what I read she consulted her family before making her decision and it was her 11 year old son who urged her to lose the wig for the shoot.

Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this topic.

I think it was brave and noble of her. I've heard my whole life that, "a woman's hair is her crowning glory", as if without it she is ugly or nothing. Joan Lunden has always been a beautiful woman. She did it to hopefully help other women and save lives. More power to her!

I think it's a personal decision and the person needs to do what's comfortable for them. Personally, wigs are too hot to wear.
