Since July 4th is on Saturday, does anyone get paid for it? I normally have weekends off.
Yes, we all get paid holiday pay for July 4. M-friend employees work their normal 5 days and get holiday pay on Saturday in addition.
Tue-Sat employees just work Tues-Fri but get Sat off with holiday pay for the 4th.
What the hell kind of math is that?Working Mon-Fri and the paid holiday on Sat. creates a 6 day punch. This means time and a half on Fri.
M-friend is 5 days, Sat is 6. The observance for the 4th business wise is the 3rd this year. What the hell kind of math is that?
It's doesn't work that way.M-friend is 5 days, Sat is 6. The observance for the 4th business wise is the 3rd this year.
It does here. It's doesn't work that way.
Check your local. PS you like me!It's doesn't work that way.
Pretty sure physicals count towards overtime. But this is FedEx so it will probably be like getting a physical "Paid not worked" and not involve the workweek so just straight 8hrs and not overtime.
Number one this is FedEx discussionsCheck your local. PS you like me!
It might be a paid not worked code but technically it's still on the clock.I guess I never noticed if they did since it was only an hour or so and I always seem to have overtime. I just figured it was like a personal day (or is it floating) and didn't count towards OT.

Number two I'm 100% sure of my answer
No this is the FedEx forumOh I see, you work for FedEx. At UPS they pay time and a half on Friday. Because the holiday creates a 6 day punch. You need to check your local. I’m sure you’ll get it. If you work Mon-Fri. Other wise your union is weaker than mine.
That's correct for anywhere that's not California.I guess I never noticed if they did since it was only an hour or so and I always seem to have overtime. I just figured it was like a personal day (or is it floating) and didn't count towards OT.

Are newer employees eligible for holiday pay?
