You know that you are in Canada now - not Germany! What are the rules and regulations for serving food while drinking on duty? What if there is a safety issue because someone is drinking? What about common sense ?!?!?! As for delivering until 11 and working off the clock, the supervisor or manager should have lost their job PERIOD!. What an unbelievable scenario you painted. ... Common sense gone wild! This reminds me of a situation I had, an employee ended up being buried in a feeder and couldn't get out. He got wedged. When he finally was pulled to safety. He told me his supervisor told him to get in there and fix it. I pointed to the top of a feeder and told him if the supervisor asked you to jump off the roof of that trailer would you do it. He told me yes (without hesitation) because he can't disobey his boss. Needless to say - I had quite a few "lack of common sense" issues with this employee finally leading to his discharge because of his lack of common sense and more importantly jeopardizing his safety and the safety of other employees.
