Lathrop hub or Oakland (need some clarity)

Class A P&D driver here……… was told from a feeder driver I happened to see in traffic that applying for a package handler position in lathrop is the smartest
/fastest way to get into brown if you want a feeder job..... if it's true I'll travel the 55 miles each way each night..... would rather package handle in Oakland: but not if we're talking YEARS to get in a tractor trailer (I'm thinking the wife will put up with me working the package handling job as a 2nd job will last for about 6-7 months max lol)

Any help would be appreciated

6-7 months pt to get a feeder job is possible, but probably not very likely(don't know your area though, just a general comment).

Make sure it is at ups, and not ups freight, though.

Yeah at the moment only tractor trailer jobs are for ups freight..... nothing against those guys but I'm trying to get OUT of P&D


Well I'm going to give it a shot....now I just need to figure out if lathrop (an hour commute) is the way to go or could it be done in Oakland (10 minute commute)
