I know. That part basically states if either side thinks there is an alleged problem, then they can quickly arbitrate wether it was legal or not. What I am asking is if anyone can answer what it means if the company does not abide by the procedures prescribed for the settlement of disputes? Liam was saying the company violated the grievance procedure. Is that it? I read the arbitration posted by local 804 news, thanks by the way, and on page 12 he says The language of the Agreement authorizes the Union to engage in a job action only if the Company fails to abide by “the procedure for the settlement of disputes and differences,”. He also says that in the Melville case the company followed the procedures, thats why I am asking. liam said more than what was caught on video. He read from the contract and mentioned non working 72's being wrong, the company not following the grievance procedure, violating article 7, no proven or admitted dishonesty, the driver being fired with stuff the company lied about. What if Liam is right? What you guys who weren't there don't realize is that we all thought Liam was right, wether the contract says so or not. We are all tired on the non working 72's and the trumped up dishonesty. What we want to know is why isn't Liam around now? We are hearing he has been banned, he is on vacation, he was suspended, etc.We all feel better when he is here. He fights the company. Sometimes I think he fights too much, but he is a fighter. We all just want straight answers and want a meeting. How can UPS ban our B.A? I was told that Ron Carey had several illegal strikes in the 80's and the guys think he was a hero and he wasn't banned from buildings then.
