Here are the facts the way I see it: The IBT is doing more than a decent job. People just like to look at the negative. For example hall and Jimmy Hoffa save approximately 40,000 jobs at YRC that TDU never talks about. APWA went by the wayside because they wanted people to join or start another union. TDU just wants to destroy unions. I am not an IBT hardliner but I do support my leadership. If it changes (hopefully not) I will support the new leadership. They doesn't mean you have to agree with everything they do. As do you I know TDU and from experience they are not good for the Union it's easy to talk a good game it's a lot harder to back it up with results. Don't just say what's wrong help come up with a solution to the problem. They don't do that. Don't get me wrong I understand your concerns with moving from one plan to another and I get it. But the negotiating committee had to come up with a solution that both sides could agree on. It isn't as easy as saying you have deep pockets show me the money. I think you will have the opportunity some day soon to realize that. Anyone can say I would have rather paid a premium co pay than switch. That's easy to say after the fact. Just like the people last contract that said we make too much money I don't care about the raises then were ticked off when they got them and it was split. You get the point. Decertification will not in my opinion legally happen RTW might and that will be terrible for all of us.
