In his absence, the Shop Steward will designate as many alternates as is necessary to have complete coverage at all times. The Shop Steward shall perform such other duties as the Executive Board may direct.</p><p></p><p>Section 5: Shop Stewards shall constitute a council for the purpose of advising and consulting with the Executive Board in the formulation of policies that may be necessary for the success of the Union.
