804 logically has to be looking to address protections for RPCDs. Obviously; 804 should be using the NORCAL supplement to address these easily identifiable protections. The intent of the 22.4 position was to reduce UNWANTED OT. Not all OT. Just unwanted OT. AND most definitely NOT to eliminate Full Time hours for all RPCDs. Eliminating Full Time RPCD hours to satisfy a BS Teamster/UPS talking point that of No RPCDs want to work Sat or Sun is insane. We have plenty of drivers who volunteered for Saturdays. In order to get 40 hours; most low seniority drivers jumped at the opportunity to work Saturdays. It is a line of crap that the Teamster/UPS collusion team has shoved down our throats and up are cake holes. Unethical anti-worker self preserving jokers is what the vast majority of the Hoffasters are. Come on 804. Build in the NORCAL protections. Then RPCDs who want to work Sat and Sun can. Then these RPCDs will get more than 24 hours per week if they desire. If the RPCD's do not want to work Sat or Sun; Then they have that right. But; don't take their right away from RPCDs to work Sat and Sun in order to get their 40 hours. Word on the street is that UPS is already in the process (or has already) offered substantial shipping discounts to large shippers like Target, Macys, HSN, QVC, Walmart and others. That discount is contingent on those Major accounts agreeing to having their shipments delivered on Sat and Sun.
