Local UPS center marks safe work days - Herald Press The United Parcel Service Palestine Center commemorated 60,000 safe work days and five years without a lost time injury during a special celebration with employees and their family members on Thursday. District Manager Habib Pourfakhrai, Division Manager Jim Swann, and Safety Auditor Pat Hadley congratulated the 56 employees on this safety achievement. With “safe by choice…not by chance,” as a motto, the Palestine center employees put safety first at all times. The last lost-time injury was in November 2006, and the last injury was in July 2010. There are 24 drivers working out of the Palestine Center — with every driver averaging 175 miles per day, with more than 160,000 safe driving miles to date.
