No, first off Marxism is supposed to be a form of anarchism. In theory. The workers own(seize) the means of production. Of course through trotsky and Lenin a bit watered, and then competed for. Which is why Lenin chased trotsky to mexico. 2nd, Marxism and communism as a whole. 9/10 (although we've never seen the 10th.) Always creates a government which is contradictory to its cause. When this govt. Is created it slowly moves into the term of socialism. If it doesn't starve or kill systematically the people that disagree or the innocent people caught up in the hard times of that country. From gulags to bread trucks. Seizing the means of productions is both communist and socialist. Neither living in a true free market because they typically live off a quota like economy. Left wing and right wing set by the French revolution is more or less the same as today. Left is progressive, revolution, change. Which is exactly what Marxism was founded on. (Seize the means of production for the good of the people) To say that the left today is "lip service"....I'm sorry. ACA? Black lives matters? Pc culture the left has instituted into this country? Burning flags = revolt against nationalism (definetly lefty)..unions like teamsters getting into bed with leftists dumping money on democratic officials. Sounds like more than lip service. Sounds sorta like seizing the means of production. And for your last point. We all know how communism ended for moa and the Russians in practice. And it ended up with 21-70 million dead non combatants.
