Why can’t we trade Black Friday holiday for MLK Jr. day or Veterans Day?

We should trade for both. The company thinks working Black Friday is worth paying us double time. So it's worth two holidays is the way I see it.

You've got 2 weeks you can split into single days if you need them.
If you're talking about splitting vacation weeks, we only get to split one.

A week of vacation and a week of option days can both be taken 1 day at a time in my region.

Only single days for our option week(58 hours) if you choose opt-3
Opt 1-use as an extra week vaca
Opt 2-paid out
Opt 3-Individual days (what sucks is if you're on 4-10's your days are paid out in 10 hours not 8)

I've been surprised that UPS has been able to just ignore MLK Day, having the home office in Atlanta
