They were never putting enough towards your pension to give you the large payouts promised. Now it's the other way around. Huge sums of money are being put in to make up the difference and I'm being under promised compared to what I could do with the money on my own. I do really feel bad for you all and it seems the union lead you in the wrong direction during the strike of 97. My dad is a retired state of illinois worker. The illinois pension system is a disaster and the workers won't let the state make cuts. Here's the problem I see. The state didn't pay into the pension for years only making promises to pay it back. Well the workers should of walked out way back then until they got their money.</blockquote>
