I wonder if the federal gov't got out of the way what that would do for apprenticeship programs of which I was lucky to get my Class A Journeyman Machinist Rating through back in the mid-70's? There are many ways to build the middle class and build a strong manufacturing base and sometimes gov't involvement is counterproductive.
