Nastiest, filthiest, most gross place on your route.

The grossest place I deliver to is a private residence....its a crummy apartment occupied by a disgusting guy in his 30's. He smokes, and has cats who piss everywhere. The place is stacked to the ceilings with clutter and garbage. His blinds are always closed and the place is a dark, putrid tomb.

What makes it worse...is that this guy sits at home all day and looks at porn on his computer. I can see it on his monitor when he opens the door. He wears a bathrobe with "stains" on the front, and thinks nothing at all of coming to the door while sporting a chubby. He has long, nasty toenails and yellow fingernails from all the cigarettes, and his breath stinks and he hawks up phlegm when he talks.

OMG!! I dated a cat lady one time and thought she was real nice. Yes, I luv my kitty kat too!! I had her for many years and adore her. But this lady likes to keep many cats. There is no way she is able to care for them all. She saw my house and wondered how my cat can stand such clean living conditions. This woman was not a real big believer in house keeping too. Suffice to say, there was a real mismatch between me and my date. She even admitted so and we are just good friends now.

High on my list were tannerys, rendering plants, pet food manufacturing plants, chicken farms, pig farms and old time paper mills.

The landfills were only bad in the afternoons when it was hot and the wind was blowing in your direction. Waste water treatment plants and some old truckstops restrooms could make me loose my appetite too.

I won't even go on about some people's trailers and houses!

Hot day + No breeze + Sticky, greasy parking lot, door knobs, packages = All Bad.

It's got to be in my top five, all-time, worst odors.

( I still wouldn't pee in their parking lot though. )

Speaking of places I've actually been, I have an occasional pickup at a place
where the whole staff must be smokers, yes I live in the backwards state of NC
which still allows smoking in the workplace...
Anyway the place has a "no smoking" sign on the front door.. apparently they don't want you to smoke outside..cause the inside reeks.. I have to take a deep breath before I go in, grab the package and sprint out.

Honestly I'm in there for 30 seconds or less, and I smell like I spent the night
in a smoky bar.

Amazing how QVC queens adore cats. I have one on my route, she usually receives a package every other day. Before the gate is opened she excuses herself for the smell. Why not just clean the smell!

Mine is a house call on the out-skirts of my route. I call it "The Texas Chainsaw House". The amount or trash and misc. articles strewn about the property borders on nauseating. I know they have a few kids and I feel bad for them since they don't know any better.

The guy seems to collect car axel's. They are everywhere mixed in amongst the trash bags, car batteries, broken lawn mowers, and dead plants.

It's freakin' wierd.

We have a few chicken processing plants here and I can tell you that when it's 100+ , you almost have to hold your breath around the back side of the building. When going through the yard, I try to miss every puddle that has collected water/ blood!
Once you get in the building, there is no smell and you could probably eat off the floor (Not advised)! The bathrooms are spotless and I make sure this is where I use the bathroom if Im on these routes.

I used to deliver an area where there were a few large chicken houses. I would always start to hold my breath 500 yards before and until I was 500 yards past. like PYB said, when it's hot out it only gets worse. yuck.
