New Hire-Too late for earn and learn? Is this UPS or my college policy?

I started working recently at UPS and had been really excited to work here. I am a college student and had enough time to fit a P/T job. With the earn and learn program being advertised on the hiring application, I figured this would benefit me greatly.

However, I learned that the program isn't eligible for me since my classes started too early (30 days was the cutoff?). Bummer, since I still got quite a lot of days (~2 months) until the school term ends. I figured this out by a person at my school, who manages the applications, not a UPS employee. So, I was just wondering is this my school's rep policy or UPS's?

Think about it for a second-----if you were in charge, would you approve tuition assistance for someone who started working for you after the cut off date?

It is a UPS policy.

in my area you have to wait a minimum of one year for assistance of any sort. im glad its this way no people coming in to just get assistance for a month and leave
