New P800 propane trucks and old P500

What's the weight of these trucks? I'm trying to figure out if the weight of the p800 is lighter than the p500 since the p800 seem lighter

Don't usually have to, but I don't imagine there would be a problem.

My first stop on my last route was a chemical company. If I thought I was overweight, I'd hop on the scales and call in if I was in violation. Also had a stone quarry in the afternoon where I parked on the scales to deliver.

if it’s a composite build it’s lighter even though bigger, but i don’t have the gross weights in front of me

I believe it is 9880 which is actually lighter than the old p500.

So I'm thinking you don't need to be dot certified to drive those. Being it under 1001 lbs

Weigh stations? No.

Vehicle inspection? Yes but they normally wave us right through.

around here the weigh stations are only open when dot inspectors are on duty. they turn on lights on the highway. then grab trucks that are over, or they are suspicious of.

yeah usually 2 dot inspection vans and a trooper suv at the weight station and another pair of troopers at the ramp back onto the highway
