New president named at UPS Airlines - Louisville Business Journal

United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE:UPS) has appointed Jim Joseph as president of UPS Airlines, effective June 30.

Brendan Canavan, who currently leads this division, is planning to retire. Joseph will manage UPS’s global air operations as well as UPS Worldport, the company’s global air hub in Louisville, a news release said.

“We’re excited to have Jim assume leadership of UPS Airlines," Executive Vice President and President of U.S. Operations Nando Cesarone said in the release. "He has a long track record of industry-leading service results. He played a major role in the expansion of our weekend service offerings, time-in-transit improvements and the deployment of multiple operational technologies that bolstered our capabilities in service to our customers,”
