I'd like to try your fishing someday. But, I built a six foot rod with 4-weight line just for little streams.

They were a challenge.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to fly fish the waters back home. I'm a spinner for life but have really took a liking to flying. It's definitely night and day with the two. Here I'm using a 9'6" with 6wt and getting 60-80ft casts. I don't think I would want to fight with the the small streams and creeks and all the brush, trees, and low clearance with a fly rod. Now spinning, I can put a worm down the throat of a brookie or laker like a sharpshooter!
