With all of these gun nuts paying through the nose for their "manly" weapons, how on earth is the NRA going bankrupt?

NY has a law that states if you move anytime during the year, they can continue to make you pay taxes.
So in order to get around this unjust penalty, declaring bankruptcy and reorganizing as a non profit is warranted.
Also moving from a hostile state to a friendly, welcoming one creates a better work environment for everyone within your organization.

I was curious how the NRA could be going bankrupt after spending $4.5 million to Republican causes in Georgia a month ago. Yeah, they want out of New York. But will NY courts allow their bankruptcy to be approved with a fraud investigation underway, recently donating tons of money for political reasons, and not actually being insolvent? I think they're in for a fight. Just a little searching shows that there are countless pro second amendment gun owners who despise what the NRA has become.

It's because the NRA is currently a hollow organization designed to funnel money (possibly illegal foreign) to the right under the cover of gun rights. I hope they become insolvent and a real organization that protects gun owner's takes their place. One that will use their power and money to defend the justifiable use of a firearm by citizens no matter the color of their skin. The corruption in the organization is a symptom of having no morals.
