So I'm at a business stop today doing a delivery and the ground was waiting on the ups driver to move so that he could grab his dock spot. Well while he was waiting he opened the back door and started to put packages at the back and started to scan. Finally the ups driver left and the ground driver started to back up. Well he forgot to pull the door down and a few packages fell out and well got ran over as he was backing up. All while the shipping and receiving people were watching. He has to have a fun time trying to explain that to his contractor.

No chance he tells his contractor. Only way he'll find out is if the recipient calls in a complaint. Otherwise he probably just marked the boxes as refused-damaged and went about his day.

Even if he did the contractor would not be likely to say much . Just an accident and beside he probably considers himself fortunate that he found a guy willing to work for he's able to pay him.

That could happen to anyone, especially if they're in a rush.

Not to a professional. It's all good, because the FedEx Packaging Specialist will deny the claims of the folks with the damaged packages and say that they weren't packed correctly. Don't believe me? Ask around your station and see if they have a "packaging specialist". Most likely a manager or manager in-training.

There have been many times when I was waiting for a space on the dock to open that I would start to scan the packages for that stop and would not get them all scanned before it was time to move. The only thing the driver did wrong was not close the overhead door.

My point which I didn't state very clearly.
