I'm simply willing to live outside whatever system they create.
I’ve talked to my kids about what I think is coming. Freaking them out a little, but I explained to them in every new era there is an extremely large amount of opportunity if you can see it. Different opportunity but opportunity nonetheless. Stay sober, pay attention.

Sadly CBDC is coming to rule them all.
CBDC is the most authoritarian invention possible. Perfect federal knowledge of all transactions of all kinds and access to every wallet. No tyrant ever dreamed of something so cool.
There remains hope. There is enough be developed that resilient, parallel economies can be made. Even while I'm a pessimist, I refuse to despair.

Most people will just accept it. They’ve been trained for many years to give away all their personal info on social media anyway.

Garages are generally the same temperature as the outside.

And the cold doesn't affect the practicality for anyone close to being an average driver.

The average driver is home every night and drives the entire range of the car in a week. It's simply not an issue.

You keep saying it's an issue. But the numbers say it's not an issue. You can remove half the range in the cold, and it simply doesn't affect the vast majority of people.
I've got a 2 car unheated attached garage that is very well insulated with top of the line insulated garage doors. It never gets cold enough to freeze in there with all the heat coming off the engines and catalytic converters of my truck and car when you drive them into it. I know this for a fact because all winter long I have a puddle on side of the garage where my dip-:censored2: cement contractor made the floor about a half inch lower than the floor drain. Even at 20 below the garage stays about 40 degrees.
