Everybody wants to change subjects when one isn't going well.
Even if EV's are half of production in 2030, they'll still only be 15% or so of cars on the road. It's really not that big of a deal, and there is a lot of time.
It is a big deal because EV's use a lot more, multiple times more, copper and silver than ICE cars. The world's governments are pushing for the eventual end of producing ICE cars. There's not enough production of those commodities to meet that demand and won't ever be. We've already passed peak silver production and are in decline. Why do you think there's serious consideration going on to mine the moon, Mars, etc? At some point it's going to be necessary.

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.

Because it's going to happen whether I like it or not.
In the meantime, I've made enough nearly to retire at 40 with a large family.
It's going to happen. I can choose to get rich off of it or be poor when it happens.
Yeah but we will all own nothing and be happy right? Musk is definitely a technocrat he’s not here to save free speech, or to make movement around the country easier.

I'm going to own plenty, no matter what they say or do. But yes, Musk and his various tech ventures are inextricably linked to the worst despotism possibilities the world has ever seen.

If the shortage is so severe even the CCP won't have all it wants, you're talking about an apocalyptic scenario across the board and you should be building a cabin in Montana right now.
There's enough annual production, and it's on the decline, to meet current needs. Producing EV's on a mass scale will produce shortages. Will affect many industries. High end electric cars aren't a necessity. Housing is.

Eventually, it will be illegal to drive one in public. Your social credit score or twitter posting history will determine whether the robotaxi will allow your eye-scan identity to be transported.
So Wilbur goes to buy a new Tesla and his account is shut off because he did not have a good social credit score, again your bank notes are worthless.

No, I'll own land til I die. Then it's irrelevant.
