There might be one or two shops in each state that can even do these conversions. It's that hard.
And Ford just made it easier for them to do so.

No, they didn't. Motors were never the problem. They're not expensive. Wrecked teslas provide superior motors. This is for people who can't get those.
It doesn't make anything easier. It still costs 20k for a crappy job and nobody can do it for you.
And it takes 6 months.

EV conversions will never be a big thing. Period. It's far more efficient, cost-effective, and better in every respect to just build an EV.
Give up. This is cool for like 6 people who own classic cars and have tens of thousands lying around with nothing to do with it. And for those who can't get motors out of a wrecked Tesla, and have to settle for a Ford motor.
