option paid day

I think option days run from may to may each year. If someone doesnt use their option day before the deadline do they get the 4.00 hours added to their check or do the option days just disappear.

Well, in the New England Supplement, unused Option Days are paid off in a seperate check just after May 1 of each year. Unfortunately you can't carry them over into the next contract year as you can with Sick Days. Check your Supplement as your mileage may vary.

Ours is May 1st to May1st. This happen to me the first year I was eligable for personal days. I got a sepretate check for the 2 optionals not used. (I didn't even know opt. days existed).
I'm actually waiting for to see if I get a check this month, since I applied for an optional day earlier this year and it was granted, but I didn't get paid for it. I work tues.-sat. I took it on a saturday and the supervisor "forgot" to put it in. Becuase "saturday is a non operating day" was her excuse.
