For Package, just a regular Joe Schmoe license is good.

    Feeders, you’ll need a CDL

I just looked at my license, it definitely says “and does not carry hazardous material.”

There were 4 of those on my truck today.

Go to the DMV and tell them you need a license to handle large packages . Wink at the guy at the end of that sentence .

You still need a special license at least in most states. Class E or chauffeur’s here.

With most package car driving jobs, just a regular driver's license will do. A few states do require a special license to drive a commercial truck. Some '24 foot straight trucks require a Class B CDL, depends on gross weight of the vehicle. I still have a CDL from when I started driving, I just don't tell my management team.

Because folks who don't even bother to read the full description of the job they're interested in will never be taken seriously. If somebody asks a question they couldn't have easily found the answer to themselves, they get a serious answer. Promise.

    You have that backward.

Most States you just need an operators license, a standard drivers license.

There are still some States though, that require a special license.
