Even today you have contractors out there still trying to cover an area the size of most European nations and most are low revenue producing areas. The result is that it's impossible to keep the workday within the confines of a reasonable day's toil and effort as well as pay enough to keep somebody on that route.if you're fortunate enough to be in a densely populated area experiencing explosive growth you're odds of survival as a contractor are much higher.
