I currently work as a package handler at UPS. If a driver asks for me to be a helper during peak season, is it likely that this will happen?

As long as it doesn't conflict with your shift it shouldn't be a problem.

How many centers have gotten bikes for peak season, we have about 15 with nice little trailers.
I can see my helper now, riding off on his little bike in the rain asking himself why am I doing this for 9.50 an hour.
As the weather turns to snow I can see my former helper riding his little bike home and calling it a day.
