Pension Changes Upstate NY

Wondering if anyone has heard of any rumors of the next poss. pension changes coming to Upstate NY pension Fund? Not doing so well as many others are not.Was hearing major changes coming but have no real examples.Thinking we may be shifting toward and New England type deal with Ups....

I have not heard of any major changes but would welcome them. As you know, we have had our split raises diverted to the pension for the duration of the current contract. I have suggested on several occasions that the minimum requirement for pension credit hours be raised from 1000 to 1800 with a sliding scale for hours worked between those numbers. This would hopefully discourage "dead days" for which no pension credits are earned or contributions received. I would love to see UPS take the Mass Pike west to the NYS Thruway all the way to the pension office in Syracuse.
