The only exception may be if the OP is in the Western Conference and is paying in to either the Peer 80 or 85. I believe Soberups said that the members do contribute toward their pension if they opt to participate in the Peer option.

Latest I heard was 20% for actives, 35% for retirees and 50% for orphans.

According to our BA the Teamsters tried to get the company to buy us out. They declined.

It will be a contract issue for '18. We will find out how bad we get screwed by the ones who say they are for us. I for one am starting to hate every moment

I mean if you don't have a choice you don't have a choice. But anyone would WANT that option is lost on me.
I believe some locals have done that in a promise of a higher pension payout.
I personally would rather have control over my own money.

Exactly. Look at all of the pensions. You're much better off taking care of yourself.
I was do some number crunching last week. I really don't know when I will be able to get out of this place.
