He just stood his ground and stared them down, every dog senses weakness.  The English Bulldog was trained for bullbaiting, it was a sporting event that had the dog take down or control a steer/bull.  The instincts of this breed is to confront its attacker head in, they do not turn and run.  Most other breeds do that and get attacked, the jaw strength and body muscle on this breed are formidable, even playing with him as a puppy I soon found out why you do not mess with this type of breed..</p></blockquote><p></p>
