Let's keep it simple - A through F just like the old days in school! How do you think BO is doing?

Is he leading the country or is someone else?
How does the world view BOs leadership?
Are we going down the right path?

Definitely not an A, but at least he's doing something, as opposed to "no."

Spending is also needed, but not in that amount. It just needs to go to the right place, yet no one in congress challenges it. Just a "no."

In my opinion, all politicians are worthless. Doesn't matter what party they're affiliated with. So with that, Obama made his case during the campaign, which got my vote.

He is driving this country and its economy to ruin, he gets an F.

He might be doing some things well, but that debt that will never ever be paid off gets him an "F".

I had to give him a D as he needs room for more failure.

How about a history lesson rather than a grade?

    History 101

For those who don't know a lot about history ... Here's a condensed version:

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter.

The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundations of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct sub groups:

    1. Liberals and
    2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.

Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement.

Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. Those became known as girlie-men. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.

Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the jackass.

Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime added), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat.

Conservatives drink domestic beer, mostly Bud or Miller. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, engineers, corporate executives, athletes, members of the military, airline pilots and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living.

Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans.. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America . They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

Here ends today's lesson in world history:

It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above.

A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be passed on to other true believers and to more liberals just to tick them off.

    And there you have it.

Let your next action reveal your true self .

How about this for a response...A license plate that was rejected......
    " ILVTOFU "
is it.. I love tofu ( so said the person who requested it )
or I love to f. you ( as a conservative would see it ).

I recommend a book for you to read by Glen Greenwald Called "Great American Hypocrites : The Myth of the Republican Party". It should open your eyes if you really believe in this post.....lol

MPO and I admit it's sterotypical as well: It's also funny how traditionally the Rep/Con's party stood for the pro business/free market minded pencil pushing, numbers crunching people with smooth "baby hands", and the Dem/Lib's are known as the "Blue Collar", "Working Man's" party with rough "Man Hands". Question is, which set of hands would you like to be coddled with ? Hands that feel like a women's or hands that feel like a man's....lol

Be careful quoting Greenwald as just because he correctly trashing the Republican party doesn't mean he's not doing the same to the otherside elsewhere.

    Glenn Greenwald, Tuesday 4/28/2009

If you like, there's tons more where that came from too. Glenn rips both sides for walking away from the Constitution, liberty and the rule of law. Funny how in some circles he's condemned the commie by those who claim to be for liberty and the rule of law. Then again those same persons share a similar quality with all but one man in Shawshank prison.

    "I'm innocent!"

Now we're back to liars over at the Pelosi thread

Cat to Dog. Have a good weekend!

I agree... though I would really love to get behind BO! Problem is I keep saying "Oh why did you go and do that?!".

Isn't there a grade lower than that??????

The middle class needs a tax break, not a tax increase, and they're being stewed and screwed. He's increasing our debt more rapidly than G.W. ever could. He makes us appear to be weaklings by groveling to our enemies. And since when does Hugo Chavez, the guy who squandered his country's oil $ on second hand Russian weapons, need a sincere apology from our new leader for American policies? Bowing and admitting errors(?) to our advesaries will only legitimize these dictators and issue them free passes to move forward with their tyranny.

What does this say to countries who struggle to erect and maintain freedom? Once again, O. needs to crack open a history book. With U.S. funds, U.S. military intelligence support and U.S. military manpower, Columbia positioned against the leftish governments of Ecuador and Venezuela and created a democracy, hard to do when these hotbeds of machismo, socialism and anit-Americanism are located on either side of it.

So we take part in freeing Columbia from the ugly clutches of Ecuador and Venezuela, whose FARC rebels are the chief drug traffickers in a part of the world that produces most of the world's cocaine.

Why was Obama over there smooching Chavez's a##??? Why wasn't he instead hugging and kissing Colombian President Alvaro Uribe, the leader of a country who, despite threats of dirty radioactive bombs from his neighbors, got fed up with their terrorism and established a democracy? (critics of a democratic Iraq, pay attention.)

There have simply been far too many "I Screwed Up" moments.

And if that's not scary enough, Hill's waiting in the wings for her next curtain call....

Wkmac, you've made us well aware of Greenwald, who's sitting back on his bean bag stuff with money from book sales, trashing and cherry picking the Obama Adm with his Salon.com articles as well.
Some criticizing valid, and some he jumped the gun and not letting it play out. ex: torture.
Easy cherry pickings for the lawyer turned writer/blogger.
I've referred to his book because of Sammie's attempt to teach us a history lesson.

    Anyhow, back to the thread topic;

    http://www.gallup.com/Home.aspx for Obama's grade /approval.

2/3rd's of this country approve of Obama performance so far considering what he inherited. So being the cellar dwellers, the bottom feeders, the benchwarmers, in the bottom 1/3, standing on your soapboxes and administering Obama's grade as an F means you need a bigger mega-phone, because most of us can't hear you....lol

Real question is, how would you rate the GOP. Their numbers, identity, and age groups of the GOP supporters are all dwindling. They need to do something to kick start the modern conservative movement besides waiting or hoping Obama's policies fail.

    You got that right!

And there is a plan I've heard on talk radio (yes, Fox!). It starts with the GOP extolling the virtues of, and showing their pride in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
It goes against everything the Democrats stand for. (Re: The Obama Worldwide Apology Tour).
It's an easy way to distinguish ourselves from Democrats.

    Just a start....

A lot of pundits think the Republican party is failing because it is too conservative and not connecting with the American people.

The Republican party is failing because they are too much like the Democrats!

It is common sense that who ever is in power only makes the other party stronger by their foolishness.
    Dems vs Reps

It is endless cycle, time for a third party; just to stir things up.

How about one that stands for things like.........
    Borders...enforce current laws,
Language... this is an ENGLISH speaking country ( mostly )
